Overview
In this mental golf training drill, you will observe the fluid swing of an accomplished professional golfer in your imagination, which uses the same neural pathways as if you were physically doing the movement (swing) yourself. Watching yourself play great golf in your imagination mimics the experience of actually doing so. The result is a better golf game.
Watching yourself play great golf in your imagination mimics the experience of actually doing so. The result is a better golf game. Meditating improves concentration and induces relaxation so you can easily use the golf swings you have just created through visualization.
Included in the meditation is a binaural beat, which is a scientifically proven method for slowing brain waves, thus inducing a hypnotic relaxing effect.
Short-term use of the exercises presented in this video will result in a more fluid golf swing, as well as greater mental relaxation. Extended use (watching the video) will bring about a general sense of well-being, along with improved concentration.
Steps
Step 1: Watch The Video
Watch the video. Listen to the instructions on performing the visualisation and meditation exercises, as well as an explanation of the benefits. Listen in a quiet place, free from distraction. Simply follow the instructions of the guided visualisations and allow the results to happen naturally. To optimise the effects of this program, it is important to use stereo headphones.
Step 2: Watch Before Playing 18 Holes
Watch the video the night before playing a practice round or tournament.
Step 3: Keep Score
After completing the 18 holes add your score to the “Tournament Play Tracker” available within the Golf Practice Planner. Feel free to let out a yelp of joy because from today onwards you’ll be able to keep track of all your tournament playing scores and vital stats (e.g. fairways hit, putts, greens in regulation, etc) in one easy-to-use spreadsheet.
