Overview
The double ball shank golf drill will stop you from shanking the ball.
Steps
Step 1: Watch
Watch the video.
Step 2: Two Balls
Place a ball just to the outside of the ball you’re going to hit.
Setup to the outside ball (as if that’s the ball you’re going to hit).
Do a mini-swing (1/2 or 3/4 swing) back and make contact with the ball that is situated on the inside. This makes sure that when your arms come down (in the downswing) that they are very close to the body. When you shank a ball, the arms get further away from your body.
If you’re doing this as an indoor golf drill, don’t use any balls, but imagine there are two balls.
Step 3: Keep Score
Hit 10 balls. Give yourself one point each time you hit the ball on the ball that is situated on the inside.
