The birdie maker putting drill is great for gaining confidence with 20-foot putts, which are considered birdie putts because most birdies are made from this range.
A good putt from 20 feet is one that goes in or three feet past the hole. The object of the drill is to hit 10 putts from 20 feet and keep score.
Steps
Step 1: Watch
Watch the video.
Step 2: Below The Hole
Stroke three putts from 20 feet below the hole.
Step 3: Above The Hole
Stroke three putts from 20 feet above the hole.
Step 4: Below The Hole
Stroke three putts from 20 feet below the hole.
Step 5: Above The Hole
Stroke the last putt from 20 feet above the hole. This is the pressure putt.
Step 6: Keep Score
Keep score for the 10 putts.
0 Points = Putt that finishes short
1 Point = Putt goes 18″ past hole
2 Points = putt goes in
