DRILL OVERVIEW · PUTTING CARD 20
Ten in a Row: Putting Pressure Challenge
Your drill at a glance

This is Putting card twenty, Ten in a Row: Putting Pressure Challenge, in the Golf Practice Made Fun App.
One straight putt. A growing streak. A little extra pressure. Choose a putt of about three metres and try to hole ten in a row. Each miss starts a new streak, so the next putt always gives you something clear to do.
Play up to 10 putts in total and record your longest consecutive run of holed putts. Keep your normal preparation as the streak grows; number nine deserves the same care as number one.

PGA professional Robin Symes, on SwingStation, demonstrates the ten-in-a-row challenge and explains why each attempt deserves your full routine.
Step 1. Choose one putt.

| Action | What to do |
|---|---|
| Find a straight putt | Choose a clear line on the putting green, about three metres from the hole. |
| Keep the same spot | Use this starting position throughout the round. |
| Check your aim | Look from behind the ball, choose the start line and set the putter face before settling into your stance. |
| Prepare normally | Use your usual routine and give the first attempt your full attention. |
A straight putt keeps the task clear: start the ball on your chosen line with enough pace to reach the hole.
Step 2. Build your streak.

| Action | What to do |
|---|---|
| Hole a putt | Add one to your current streak of consecutive holed putts. |
| Miss a putt | End that streak. The next holed putt starts a new run at one. |
| Keep your routine | Read, aim and prepare for every attempt. Avoid rushing simply to finish the challenge. |
| Remember your best | Keep track of the longest run you have achieved during this round. |
The growing streak supplies the pressure. You do not need a gallery, a trophy or your brother offering helpful commentary.
Step 3. Record your best.

| Action | What to do |
|---|---|
| Count every attempt | Include both holed putts and misses in the round’s total. |
| Keep the same limit | A miss restarts the streak while the attempt count continues. |
| Stop after 10 attempts | Keep the round within 10 putts, even if you have not reached ten in a row. |
| Save the longest run | Record your longest consecutive streak of holed putts from this round. |
Your practice record
| Measure | Record |
|---|---|
| Attempts used | ___ / 10 maximum |
| Longest consecutive holed run | ___ putts |
| Practice note | What helped you keep your routine as the streak grew? |
Your score is your best streak. Record the longest unbroken run of holed putts. Separate streaks stay separate; use the attempt total to keep the whole round within 10 putts.
Use the same distance next time to make your records easier to compare.
George’s Practice Tip.

When you get close to your best streak, bring your attention back to the next putt’s preparation. Choose the line, settle the face and make your stroke. After a miss, take a breath and rebuild the same routine.
For a simple preparation sequence, try Picture, Look, Roll. To practise a steady rhythm, use Metronome Putting.
